Found at Islam Online, as well as bit further on after a fairly lengthy search to find it “somewhere” in the North American media so that we’re not accused [again] of quoting ‘Islamist news sources that can’t be trusted because they hate America and all that she stands for’,

US occupation troops killed an Iraqi television director, Tuesday, June 29, 2005, when he drove near a US convoy, colleagues and a hospital official said. The US military said it had no reports of the incident. Ahmad Wail Bakri, a programme director for Al-Sharqiya television, was reportedly trying to pass a traffic accident in the Sayyidiyya district on Tuesday when troops opened fire at his car. The French watchdog organization Reporters Without Borders called for an inquiry. Bakri was the third Iraqi journalist killed in similar incidents in the past week.

20 paragraphs into a page at the Leesville Daily Leader (it’s in Texas) we find
Separately, U.S. soldiers killed an Iraqi news executive when he did not pull over as an American convoy passed on a road in Baghdad, said Dr. Muhanad Jawad of Yarmouk Hospital. Ahmed Wael Bakri worked as a director at al-Sharqiya TV. The U.S. military said it was investigating. Bakri was the third Iraqi journalist alleged to have been killed by U.S. forces in similar incidents in the past week.

The information presented does not differ…. a journalist either drives near a US convoy, or does not pull over when they go by, and gets shot and killed for that act. I’m sure that if the Leesville Daily Leader can find the story some big mainstream media outlet could certainly manage the same — don’t ‘cha think? Am I being unreasonable in asking such a question? 3 journalists killed by the US military within the span of 7 days and it’s not newsworthy as far as the mainstream media is concerned….. why is that?
