Bush invoked the specter of September 11th, 2001 multiple times during his speech last night and it comes as no surprise to the basement bunker that (Right)WingNut (in this case we’re talking about O’Reilly) radio is parroting the same.

Lets be clear folks, Iraq and September 11th, 2001 are not related - nada - squat - full stop - end of story. It’s already been proven (regardless of the rhetoric that Bush chooses to employ in making that subtile link without actually speaking the words) that Iraq was not involved, no Iraqis were involved, and there are no significant links between Osma bin Laden, al-Qaeda, and Iraq or Saddam Hussein.

Those are the facts.

Now this is interesting, some very insightful interviews on the speech from….wait for it…FoxNews.
Granted, the first guy (Charlie Rangel) was on with Hannity who seems to be Fox’s slightly less nerdy Tucker Carlson, so he had to literally shout his points out to get them across, but I think it was effective. I really do try to aspire to the pacifist way of life, but I have to be honest, I want to hit Hannity in the face with a brick. He murders public debate a little bit every time he puts his hopefully-someday-to-be-hit-with-a-brick mug of his on the air. (sorry, it’s amazing how angry that guy gets me)

The second guy (Wesley Clark) was an absolute media-master. He gave one of the most articulate and detailed reviews of the situation in Iraq that I’ve heard to date. He even starts out by talking up Bush for talking up the troops, a sound technique if you want as many people as possible to resist the urge to go for the remote.
