A civil suit looking for class action status for war crimes against chemical companies for supplying the US military with Agent Orange that was dropped during the Vietnam War?

IMO that’s like launching a law suit against Remington for making the bullet that killed the bank teller, suits of this nature need to be launched against the governments that ordered their use. They, and the people actually involved, are the ones guilty of war crimes.

The lawyer for Dow Chemical came out with a couple of real goodies on it though

“We think it is up to the United States government to decide whether what it did was wrongful and whether it should pay restitution,”

Now why didn’t somebody think of that sooner - ‘ole Saddam would be happy with a set up like that now wouldn’t he?

“The court should not be second-guessing the president’s decisions, which were made after studying the human health consequences and as a military judgment and very likely saved a lot more lives than it injured,”

Did he just say they might have saved more people than were harmed? Who gets to make those sorts of calls anyway… the same people who get to decide if there was anything wrong with the whole mess in the first place?

‘Ole Saddam is gonna love that one to.
