How interesting…. NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox (no surprise there) have refused to air an ad opposing President Bush’s effort to clamp down on medical malpractice lawsuits because it’s a controversial issue.
It’s not that I’m against putting a stop to frivolous lawsuits (medical or otherwise) or that I think anything opposing Bush should get prime time (although the idea does make me smile) - my problem stems from the idea that these networks don’t want to air anti-presidential policy ads because they’re controversial.
This sort of thing is all good during an election campaign (remember the wolves?) when nobody can really be 100% certain who is gonna be sitting in the BIG chair, but as soon as he’s there - don’t piss him off.


Those networks don’t want to jepordize their White House correspondent access, after all…
