The Bush / Republican propaganda machine has done a good job, at least if civil rights cases in America are any indicator… the United States recorded the highest number of Muslim-related civil rights cases ever.
Nearly half of all Americans believe the U.S. government should restrict the civil liberties of Muslim-Americans, according to a nationwide poll.
And who makes up this group of people?
Republicans and people who described themselves as highly religious were more apt to support curtailing Muslims’ civil liberties than Democrats or people who are less religious
The question now becomes, ‘now that they’ve made enough people sufficiently afraid that they are willing to support the creation second (or lower) class citizens- how are they going to deal with the problem?’.
…. or are they going to bother dealing with it at all?
