If I had the energy I’d do up a longer post about todays activities…. I have been in the streets and part of various actions and protests since 11:00 AM this morning and to tell the truth right now I’m more interested in getting some sleep than sitting at the keyboard.

If you live in Ottawa head for “The Hill” and we’ll see you there, I’ll tell the rest of you [...]

Conservative marriage bill nixed
The Commons won’t vote on a Conservative MP’s private bill to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Governments are supposed to pass laws that are fair as opposed to ones that may be popular. Our government seems, at least this time, to know the difference.

That US forces are somehow able to count and talk about the 46 bodies in Falluja they claim are Iraqis who were supposedly “killed by insurgents for co-operating with the occupation” [heard on CNN] but have no numbers about civilian dead?

Today is Buy Nothing Day in Canada and the United States… so head out to a big socially irresponsible chain store, grab a shopping cart, and wander around the isles making a complete nuisance of yourself while buying absolutely nothing.
My favorite target is WalMart – wanna join me later?

Is there no end to the bowing, scraping, groveling, and genuflecting the Canadian right believes is necessary, or wants, when it comes to the United States and George W “I’m a war president” (or at least I play one on TV) Bush?
You could have knocked me off the chair with a feather this morning [...]

3 rhetoric filled years late, and a bunch of diplomacy short, Bush is finally going to issue a belated thank you to people who provided significant aid to the United States on September 11, 2001…. if you remember correctly we didn’t even rank among his friends when he was doing the public thank you announcement [...]

In a story carried by Mercury News we read that a Mississippi police department is donating used bullet-resistant vests to soldiers in Iraq.
Used, and with expired warrenties or not, they’re better than what the Bush administration that, in case you forgot, touted supoport for the military and giving them whever they needed to do their [...]
