There’s an interesting description over at Baghdad Burning about riverbends a road trip to visit her aunt. Definitely worth the read if you are interested in daily life in Iraq these days - this is the progress Bush talks about.

The folks over at Rantberg seem to think that the Taliban are gone….. guess they don’t read the newspapers - that sort of thing can happen to you if you only listen to what the current U.S. administration tells ya.

CBS News tells us that:

69% of Americans think the United Nations, and not the United States, should have the lead responsibility for setting up a new government in Iraq

…. but just to show how confused people are about this 51% of Americans seem to believe that things are going well for the U.S. in Iraq but only 42% think the U.S. is in control of events there……

Huh?
