California gay weddings can go on

California’s Supreme Court has refused a request from the state’s attorney general to halt gay weddings. More than 3,400 same-sex couples have married, since San Francisco’s mayor began issuing licences two weeks ago.

That’s a lot of couples, and now the same practice has moved to New Paltz, New York where the Mayor there

said he decided to perform same sex wedding ceremonies as a matter of equal rights.

The N.Y. State Governor says it’s all illegal but West is completely right when he says

“What we’re witnessing in America today is the flowering of the largest civil rights movement the country’s had in a generation,”

Conservative fundamentalist Bush is of course continuing with the master plan to have his religion’s definition of marriage enshrined in constitutional law but it’s far to late for that now, this is coming from the people level folks….. and like other grassroots movements it’s not going to go away.
