Child Prisoners at Guantanamo

After holding them prisoner for almost two years, the United States has released three “enemy combatants,” boys ages 13 to 15, captured in Afghanistan and held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Reluctantly, no doubt, Bush and Rumsfeld had to return the boys to Afghanistan, since they were no longer of any “intelligence” use to them. During their stay at the island camp, they were denied access to their families or attorneys.

Recall, if you will, the images I have posted here previously of club Gitmo residents chained and hooded in cages - - and also recall that these people (including the kids) were held under the new rules created by Bush. No proof they did anything wrong, no proof they ever had any intelligence value… kids, scooped with the farmers and taxi drivers because they were in the wrong place and the wrong time, spirited off to another country, and held in contravention of international law and the Geneva Conventions.

No wonder those “Bush: International Criminal” t-shirts are so popular.
