She should have gone and she should have told Bush exactly what was on her mind – no pulled punches, nothing but the straight goods….. helping G.W.B. isolate himself from reality isn’t going to help anything.
It wasn’t intended to mean anything to the Iraqi people, it was intended first and foremost as a photo op…..
The question is, given how far to the right the Alliance is, exactly how deep into the party this sort of thinking goes, and how it will affect their upcoming merger with the P.C.’s vote.

Good on ‘em I say.. rigging or stealing elections are only a few things that Mugabe should be held accountable for – would that more international bodies shunned more national leaders who circumnavigate the democratic election process.

The retraction doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere near as much press as the initial reports…. just another of those things that make ya go “hummmmm”.
