From the department of trying-to-weasel-out-of-it-by-blaming-some-one-else-while-trying-to-duck-and-cover… Our friend and very good buddy G.W.B. is now saying that the “Mission Accomplished” banner under which he gave his famous Major Military Combat Operations Are Over speech had nothing to do with him or the war on Iraq as a whole.

The “Mission Accomplished” sign, of course, was put up by the members of the USS Abraham Lincoln saying that their mission was accomplished.

I guess that makes it just another of those big misunderstandings that have plagued this whole affair from pretty well day one ‘eh? I can’t see this making the men and women of the USS Lincoln being to happy about this new development, possibly they and their families can join the growing number of other military folk and their families who are “are angry and disillusioned, frustrated and full of doubt” over George’s misadventure in the Middle East.
