God is not on anyone’s side now this is just plain dumb. do you people mean to tell me that God was not in favor of the allies during world war two? i mean, we’re assuming the existence of a moral God here, so if that’s the case, then how could He not have been against hitler, or against bin laden today? i don’t know who or what God is to you, but if you think He’s neutral between the osama’s of the world and everyone else (that being how osama sees the sides) then your God isn’t worth having. maybe you’re a deist and think He doesn’t care about human affairs in any way. fine. maybe you’re an atheist. that’s fine too. but if you recognize the existence of a supreme moral law-giver as the vast majority of human beings do, then there’s simply no way you can maintain that God is neutral in human affairs.

So let me see if I understand this properly….. god does take sides, not only does he do that but he was on the side of the allies during WWII and he’s against Osma bin Laden in the current war on terror and if you’re one of those people who think otherwise then your god isn’t worth having. Well folks……

* if there is an all powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, moral god who takes sides how come he hasn’t taken the side of the millions of people in 3rd world countries who are dying of AIDs? Is it because he is on the side of the big drug companies?

* if there is an all powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, moral god who takes sides how come he hasn’t taken the side of the millions of children and their parents who are dying of starvation? Whose side is he on there?

* if there is an all powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, moral god who takes sides how come he hasn’t taken the side of the millions of people who have to live and suffer under despotic rulers? Guess he must be on the side of the leadership ‘eh?

* if there is an all powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, moral god who takes sides how come he hasn’t taken the side of the hundreds of thousands of people who are sold into slavery every year? Slavery is mentioned the bible…. maybe he thinks it’s ok?

How could any all powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, moral god look at the state of the world today and not do something about it?
